Richard B. Ferrier, FAIA was a very talented award winning Architect, Artist & Interior Designer. He had a great influence over many, since he was also an extraordinary professor. "Extraordinary" - meaning not ordinary, he went above and beyond what was required. As one of his past scholars, I feel privileged to pay tribute to him by curating this collaborative. Professor Richard B. Ferrier's inspiration lives on within my art and designs, as I am sure it does with many others. The Museum of Architectural Drawings, in Berlin, will be featuring some of his work at their exhibition in June 2015. The images presented here were provided by UTA from an exhibition of his work in February 2011. Comments are welcome.

This is a great review of Richard Ferrier's work over the years. It shows the depth and range of his work over 40 years. Not only was he an accomplished artist and architect, he was an incredible professor at the School of Architecture. His art will always influence those who knew him.

I worked for Dick Ferrier at UTA in the SAED from 1982 to 1984 I think it was. A kind, intelligent and thoughtful man, I saw that he engendered great respect from his students. Am so glad to find this site showcasing his colorful and interesting architectonic art of pen, pencil, ink. I was a great admirer of his art. When I graduated then left the employ of UTA, he presented me with one of these pieces of art which I shall always treasure. If anyone is interested in seeing an image of it, I would be more than happy to oblige. Thank you to the student who wrote the intro to this collection. (My name was Ellen Everman at the time I worked for him.)
